Behind these walls I hide away,
for my selfishness the price I pay.
For a curse echoes within these walls,
to be broken before the last petal falls.
The years they died, as did my hope,
leaving me unable to cope,
with the rage inside that has roared and reeled.
Without true love my fate is sealed.
Then one day my glimmer came.
With kindness and beauty my heart she did tame.
But to her my love would count in the least,
for who could ever love a beast?
